Serve Your Community and Country

Join the Maryland Army National Guard and make a difference at home and around the world. Always Ready, Always There.

What is the Maryland Army National Guard

The Maryland Army National Guard is a unique, state-based military force that serves as a reserve component of the U.S. Army. This dual mission means members can be called upon by their state Governor to protect communities during natural disasters, like hurricanes and floods, or activated by the President for federal missions around the world.

As the primary combat reserve of the Army and Air Force, the Guard provides critical support, ensuring our nation is ready to respond to any challenge, at home or abroad
